Rising Ocean Temperatures Harm dilicate coral reefs

Do to rising ocean temperatures conservation zones know as marine protected areas provide many benefits to coral reefs and fisheries. But these zones haven't provided much protection from global warming.

coral reefs have been degrading for a few reasons including overfishing, sedimentation and rising ocean temperatures due to greenhouse gas emissions.Even slightly changing temperatures 1 degree to 2 degrees Fahrenheit  above normal summertime highs cal kill coral pylpus, which builld coral reefs.

This could devasate biodeversity in oceans and hurt the fishing industery. But on the up side
Previous research has shown that under optimal conditions, reefs in marine protected areas saw increases in coral cover of 1 percent or 2 percent per year.
